Meet Our Personal Trainers

Brittany Bord 2 2022

BRITTANY BORD

Hi! I achieved my BS in Health and Wellness Promotion from UW- Stevens Point and began personal training in 2011. As a personal trainer, I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with many demographics. A few examples include cancer survivors, retirees who want to get/stay active for hobbies they enjoy, and individuals recovering from medical conditions that require customized workouts. Fitness has been a passion of mine from a young age, and continuously evolves. As your personal trainer, I work at finding a routine you enjoy and that’s effective!

Desirae Brittnacher 2022

DESIRAE BRITTNACHER

Hi! I’ve been actively part of the Y for a number of years now, personal training and teaching group fitness classes. I obtained my bachelors degree from UWGreen Bay where I played Division 1 volleyball. I love continually learning about the human body and keeping up on fitness trends & research. I believe taking care of our physical bodies is a key piece of what contributes to our overall wellness. During my free time I enjoy getting outside; camping with my family, hiking, and working in my garden!

Kesley Young

KELSEY YOUNG

Hi friends! I’m a Colorado native, a proud LSU alum with a BS in Kinesiology and a former Partner Trainer with Camp Gladiator outdoor group fitness out of Dallas, TX. I am a wife, mama of two and have been blessed to call Wisconsin home now for six years. My life’s work is to positively impact and serve my community through education of functional fitness, cleaner living and a whole lot of high fives and smiles. It’s been a joy and privilege to be part of the trainer team here at the Y since Spring of ‘23 and I look forward to having a front row seat in your wellness journey!

Hi! I have been with the Y since the fall of 2017, instructing group fitness classes and personal training. I enjoy working with people of all ages and with a variety of goals, from youth wanting to gain speed and agility for sports, older adults that want to focus on flexibility, balance and range of motion, to those recovering from strokes and wanting to find their strength in their new normal. Having the opportunity to support and encourage people along their fitness journey inspires me. To see physical growth emotional growth as wells as increased selfconfidence is such a reward!

TANIA HOBBS

Hello, my YMCA family! I have been blessed to be a part of this organization for over ten years. My fitness journey began in my teens when I hired my first personal trainer, which made me realize that “working out” is a lifestyle rather than a chore. Since then, I have enjoyed building relationships with people to help them discover and develop a healthy, active lifestyle. I obtained my first personal training certification over twenty years ago and have stayed updated with the ever-growing fitness industry. My niche is designing fun and varied workouts to challenge the body while safely improving overall health and strength. I would love the opportunity to create a unique fitness routine while providing nutrition coaching to help maximize your results and efforts to reach your individual goals.

Katelyn Peplinski

KATELYN PEPLINSKI

My journey in health and wellness began when I had personally struggled with my health at a young age. I made a change to my lifestyle and found a passion for fitness., which led to me achieving my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Throughout college I worked within the fitness field and began my career as a personal trainer. After graduation, I returned home to further my career as a fitness professional and continue helping others achieve their personal fitness and health goals. The South Wood County YMCA has been a great place for me to work and learn alongside the community, while allowing me to share my knowledge with my clients.
