SWIM LESSONS

At the Y, swimming is a life skill. We offer a wide selection of parent & child, preschool, school-age, teen, and adult swim lessons that build strong and confident swimmers. It uses a problem-solving, guided-discovery teaching approach in a positive, caring environment. All age groups are taught the same skills but divided according to their developmental milestones.

MICRO SPORTS (AGES 3-5)

Micro sports are designed for boys and girls ages 3-5 years old. Parents participation is REQUIRED. Each week we’ll play a variety of games like basketball, t-ball, track & field, scooter races and more. Parent/guardian will have fun being their child’s partner for activities. Bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothes and shoes.

GYMNASTICS PROGRAMS

Boost confidence, build technical skills, stay active, and have a BLAST in our progressive gymnastics at the YMCA! Gymnasts will develope skills and build a strong foundation for healthier habits while working on strength, flexibility, and technical skills on the floor, bar, vault, and beam.

CAMP ALEXANDER YMCA

Camp is a great place to make lasting memories. With fun daily activities your child will grow stronger, stay active and connect with friends, all while building the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Homeschool Gym and Swim

Join other homeschooled kids and familes in our gym and swim program. Each Tuesday kids will meet up for fun and games in the gym followed by making a splash in our pool!

March 5-19th on Tuesdays, 1:00-2:45pm

Outdoor Adventurers

Outdoor Adventurers is a fun spring break opportunity to get outdoors and make new friends! Adventurers are encouraged to pack a snack and water. You never know what mother nature may surprise us with so dress for the weather and be prepared to have fun!

March 25th-28th at Camp Alexander

CHILD WATCH/ ADVENTURE CENTER

Our Adventure Center is a drop in child care service for our members and families. We provide flexible child care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Allowing parents the time to catch a work out, take a class or just relax on our campus, all while having comfort in knowing their child is in a safe and fun environment. This is a Members only Benefit.

EARLY LEARNING CENTER

SWC YMCA’s Early Learning Center offers a state-of-the-art facility, combining bright and spacious rooms indoors with fabulous outdoor play areas. Our experienced and motivated team provides a stimulating yet safe environment for creative play. SWC YMCA ELC takes pride in being a friendly setting in which each child’s physical, emotional and developmental needs are met. Every child is special and is encouraged to achieve his or her full potential in the precious pre-school years.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE

The SWC YMCA Kids’ Clubhouse programs allow students to participate in academic and extracurricular enrichment activities and to develop new hobbies and skills. Our staff of teachers provide a variety of unique programming options to students. Participation in high-quality afterschool programming has been proven to improve school attendance, academic achievement, graduation rates, and attitudes toward learning. Students attend two and a half hours of before and after school programs each day will gain the equivalent of nearly two months of learning time.

Soccer

This program is designed for boys and girls to learn the basic skills of the sport. The 1st week will be a one hour practice. The next 4 weeks will be a 30 minute practice followed by a 30 minute scrimmage. Teams will mix up each week so kids get a chance to play with different players. Bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothes and shoes. No cleats are allowed in the gym.

MULTI – SPORTS

Each week we will play a variety of games including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, capture the flag, speed and agility, floor hockey and more. Bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothes and shoes.

ONE DAY SPORTS CLINICS

Sign up for these one day clinics to learn the basics of each sport: Flag Football, Pickleball, or Volleyball.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE

This league is great for participants and coaches who want to continue working on their team play and technical skills. This program is set up for already established teams wanting to get more game time. Based on registration numbers, grades and genders may be combined.

SWC TURNERS COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS TEAM

Gymnasts who have advanced through our progressive gymnastics classes and are ready to commit to a higher level of gymnastics can become a part of our Turners competitive team. Our competition season begins in September and concludes with state in March. Spring and summer sessions are optional for our families, but highly encouraged. Gymnasts will compete against other YMCAs around the state to have the ultimate experience.

BLACK SHARKS SWIM TEAM

Discover the friendship, excitement, and self-confidence that come with competitive swimming. All swimmers are welcome to join this growing team. Participants should be able to swim one length of the pool (freestyle) without stopping.
