Highlight on Fall Flag Football League

Flag Football is a non-contact sport. Young football players are introduced to the fundamentals of the game while having fun with other kids their own age. The Y flag football program introduces players to the fundamentals of the game while having fun with other kids their own age. Volunteer coaches are essential to the success of the program. Each Participant will receive a team t-shirt. This season will consist of One practice per week and Six scheduled games. All games and practices will be held on the new sports field.

Program Descriptions

LITTLE HOOPERS BASKETBALL

This coed program is specifically designed for the young basketball fan. Participants will learn the basic skills and techniques with emphasis placed on social development and participation. Parents are encouraged to assist with station work.

HOOPERS BASKETBALL

This is a great choice when you are looking for fun basketball drills, passing drills, relays, shooting games for basketball beginners or anyone who enjoys the game of basketball. It will help players learn the basic fundamentals skills along with teaching the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.

(NEW) OUTDOOR SOCCER BUNNIES

Outdoor soccer bunnies allow you as a parent to participate along with your child. The program will teach you as a parent how to properly teach your child the basic skills of soccer. Through active play and soccer drills, your child will learn the fundamentals of soccer while kicking around the soccer ball.

(NEW) OUTDOOR SOCCER SHARKS

This enjoyable sport certainly is for everyone. This program will allow each participant the opportunity to learn the basic skills and fundamentals of soccer. Each player can grow not only in the area of athleticism and individual soccer skills, but in developing ideas of the actual game of soccer itself such as teamwork, strategies and more.

WACKY BOWLING

Bowling with foam bowling balls and sets of rainbow color pins open up a new spectrum of bowling activities in the gymnasium. This is perfect for kids to participate in nontraditional bowling games like-King of the hill, Scatter the pin bowling, Team war. Players will build self-confidence and self-esteem with participation in a team sport.

ROOKIE FLAG FOOTBALL

Players will have fun learning basic football skills while also learning sportsmanship and teamwork. A great introductory program to the game of football. Parents Are encouraged to Coach/Assist as this an instructional environment.

ROOKIE BASKETBALL LEAGUE

This 8-week basketball League will put your child in the game with youth their age/skill level as they learn sportsmanship, develop their skills and gain a sense of accomplishment, no matter the outcome of the game. Through organized instruction by volunteer coaches and referee’s youth will enjoy play in non-competitive games.

HOME SCHOOL GYM AND SWIM

This program is for area home school families.  There will be a gym and pool portion each day.  Gym will consist of PE style classes and the pool segment will consist of swim lessons and open swim time.

INTRODUCTION TO PICKLEBALL LESSONS

Pickleball is a paddleball sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Learn to play the game that has been spreading like wildfire in United States. This program will provide an enjoyable atmosphere and will cover the Fundamentals and strategies of the game.
