GYMNASTICS

GYMNASTICS & CHEER CAMP | Friday Aug 21 | 8am – 5pm | Kdg-8th grade Wisconsin Rapids ONLY Elite Gymnastics Facility invites you to spend the day with us. Kids will focus on safety, fun and making friends.

The day will include a USAG high level gymnastics demo, snacks, lunch, crafts, prizes and much more!

YOUTH SPORTS

JUMPSTART SOCCER Your toddlers will learn soccer in a safe and healthy environment. The program will focus on teaching kids rules, sportsmanship, techniques, and teamwork necessary to play soccer. Parents are encouraged to participate alongside their child. Minimum of 6 to run a session.

FLAG FOOTBALL Young football players are introduced to the fundamentals of the game while having fun with other kids their own age. Players are led by volunteer coaches and referees in drills and games that teach the basic offensive and defensive skills and positions of football. Each child will receive a team t-shirt and mouth guard. This season the schedule will consist of ONE PRACTICE DAY and five weeks of games all on Saturday mornings at Witter Field. Register through Sept 8 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

LEAGUE KICK-OFF & PRACTICE DAY
Players will meet their coaches and work on blocking, throwing, catching, hand-offs, kicking, flag grabbing, and more. All grades my practice once a week in addition to Saturday mornings. Practices will be determined by coaches.
Schedules and rosters will be handed out at LEAGUE KICK-OFF.

NEW! INTRODUCTION TO ORIENTEERING In this day and age kids ( and some adults) are forgetting the fundamental skills that are being replaced with technology. This course is aimed at teaching basic directional skills and breaking the bond we all have with technology. Kids will learn the art of reading a map, reading a compass, following directions, and finding waypoints. Class will take place outside with some off-site travel. Kids will need to break a comfortable pair of shoes, weather appropriate clothing, good listening skills, and a great attitude. We will use compasses provided by the Y however, if you have your own you are encouraged to bring it. Maximum of 10 adventurers.
